"New Game Color Advance" was a publisher of games across multiple platforms. Their actual name is unknown, however the text "New Game Color Advance" appears on the left side of the boxes of their English Game Boy releases. Some of their more noteworthy releases include early pirate translations of the Telefang games into Chinese and their English releases of Vast Fame and Sintax games. A trait of games released by them are ID codes that appear on the back of the circuit boards of their releases in the form of a black stamp along with an unerated ID printed directly on the PCB as well as another 4-digit code in a 7-segment display style. Many of their multicarts feature the title "King Series".

Anatomy of NGCA PCBs[]

back of the board of a multicart from the Game USA series (UC-32A22)
There are three defining features of a PCB manufactured by New Game Color Advance that allow identification of any multicarts made by them. Firstly, the ID of the multicart is always printed on the PCB in black ink (see blue rectangle). Second, every PCB will have a long string of characters printed directly on the PCB (see magenta rectangle). Lastly, there will always be a 4-digit number in a 7-segment display font on the back of the circuit board (see yellow rectangle).
Trivia[]
- Some of their boxes have an N inscribed in a circle, resembling the copyright symbol.
