BootlegGames Wiki

4 Fun in 1 is an arcade compilation developed by Armenia and released by Food and Fun Corp in 1981. The compilation contains conversions of 4 arcade games including Centipede, Scramble, Galaxian, and Pac-Man to Galaxian Hardware. This compilation is likely one of the very first bootleg multigames/multicarts.

Overview[]

The compilation as said before, is entirely made up of conversions of preexisting arcade games. Many of them are heavily modified from the original, like Galactic Convoy features a space theme with most of the sprites changed to match that. Some of the games featured on this compilation are renamed (possibly for copyright reasons).

Galactic Convoy[]

A hack of Centipede based off a preexisting hack by the same company known as War of the Bugs or Monstrous Maneuvers in a Mushroom Maze. Galactic Convoy changes all the sprites in the game to be space themed. Bug himself is now replaced with a modified sprite of the Galaxip from Galaxian and the Caterpillar is now a futuristic train(?).

Scramble Part 2[]

A hack of Scramble which doesn't change anything gameplay-wise, but instead modifies the sprites and changes the music and sound effects. Most sprites in the game are changed, most notably, the Fuel Tank now says "GAS", the main base is a city, and the Mystery Base says "HQ". Due to the lack of a second button, bombs shoot along with lasers on the same button. Unlike the original game, you have the ability to continue after losing all your lives.

Galaxian Part 5[]

A hack of Galaxian which simply changes the color palette, speed of your ship, which causes you to move significantly faster, and the difficulty of the enemies which are much faster and harder. Oddly the explosion sound is completely removed

The Ghost Muncher Part 5[]

A hack of Pac-Man based off a preexisting hack known as Hangly-Man as well as an earlier conversion of Pac-Man to Galaxian Hardware. The ghosts are now renamed to Casper, Igor, Festus, and Jasper respectively. Both Pac-Man and the ghosts are modified to feature a mouth (and eyes for Pac-Man only). The color palette is also changed.
