Boat Race is a hack of F-1 Race for the NES/Famicom developed by Inventor and released in 2001[citation needed].
Overview[]
Boat Race replaces the race cars with boats and the road with water. There is no title screen music, while other musical cues remain intact. The game is notable for retaining sound effects from F-1 Race, such as the acceleration sound and the tires squealing. The game was also included in some bootleg plug-'n-play consoles. There's also a typo at the top right, with "Score" being misspelled as "Scroe".

An alternate version exists, titled Boat Race Pika on some console menus but just Boat Race on its title screen, which has Pikachu added to the boat sprite and a modified palette compared to the standard version.
