Chess is an unlicensed game for the Sega Mega Drive that has a copyright date of 1998. Very little information is known about it, although its ROM is available on the internet, and it is one of the bonus games on many AtGames Sega Mega Drive systems. It is unknown whether it has any relation to the unreleased Sega Channel game Chessmaster

Gameplay

The gameplay simulates real life chess, and the chess board (which is 3D by default) can be customized.

Music

The music was composed by Victor Chernov and, like the sound effects, can be turned off.

The game uses an unknown custom sound driver. In 2015, ValleyBell built a converter which converts the ROM to VGM files.
