Dance and Karaoke

Dance and Karaoke is a NES/Famicom game that was released around the early 2000s. It was likely bundled with both a dance mat and microphone. The game is developed by the same team who created the menu for various multicarts, including AT-103 101-in-1 and GameStar's Multicarts.

Overview[]

The game is a basic DanceDanceRevolution clone that doubles as a karaoke game. After selecting a song, the player gets a random (sometimes set) background featuring lyrics at the bottom of the screen which they are supposed to sing along to. They switch to Chinese and back to English after the song loops. Arrows also appear which the player has to hit with the same direction. After the song loops 6 times (3 times in English, 3 times in Chinese), the player is sent to a high score screen.

Song List[]

Oddly, all the songs on this cart are nursery rhymes, targeting a very young child audience. These renditions are completely different from the ones seen in the menus created by the developer. Some of the songs such as Happy Birthday and Good Morning use the same theme, but different lyrics.

Trivia[]

Many of the assets seen in this game were also used in other games, such as the mountains/trees used in one of the backgrounds which were also used in Enchanter Kue. One of the backgrounds was also used in Inventor's hack of Puzzle and Card (Hack of Magic Jewelry).
