The Game Elf (much like the ICade 60-in-1 before it) is a circuit board containing arcade games fit for a vertically-oriented monitor. The most commonly used board contains 412 games, with a few bootleg versions added in. Unlike the iCade, the copyrights in each game haven't been removed and the sound quality of the existing games is comparitively better. While it is easy to convert a jamma-based iCade to this, the fact that certain games lag and have trackball/spinner issues leads to some people preferring other multigame alternatives. The board prominently features Toads from Super Mario Sunshine on its label and its loading screen. The menu graphics vary between copies, but all have video previews displayed and come with an adjustable timer for selecting games. You can also exit a game by holding the player 1 button down for 3 seconds.
List of games[]
The Game Elf includes every game featured on the iCade except for "New Rally-X". The games on the Game Elf do not hide additional games in their DIP switch settings, so "Xevious" can't be switched to "Super Xevious" which isn't on the board at all. A number of these games are cocktail compatible (CTC). Ironically, one of the "non-compatible" games on the list is their cocktail-version of "Tetris" which uses vertical orientation, making it impossible to play with two players under normal circumstances.

Variants[]
Other Game Elf versions exist, including some for horizontally-oriented monitors. The 138-in-1 and 750-in-1 are just horizontal, and 1162-in-1 is listed as containing both vertical and horizontal games using "dual-frequency" so the user can switch between modes. It's known that the SD card can be modified to change the look of the menu, but some copies come with a green menu, and others have come in blue or black. The Game Elf also allows operators to disable certain games on the menu, so copies that seem to have fewer numbers may simply have been customized.
