Ghost Hunter (抓鬼大師) is an unlicensed Sega Mega Drive game developed by Chuanpu Technology, at the time operating as Jumbo, and published by Senchi Technology in 1994. The game would be released in both Chinese and English, and it is the last game developed by Chuanpu known to have visibly credited them under the Jumbo name.
Plot[]
From the back of the English release's box:
"Chinese ghosts are all in fear of Chung Kwei. In this game we find him fully armed in battle array charged up and ready to go. He was originally sent by the King of Hell to China to work around the clock exterminating evil ghosts, carrying flying spinning tops and with roving corpses in tow."
Gameplay[]
Ghost Hunter is a clone of Pang/Buster Bros. with a paranormal theme set in China. The game has the player control Chung Kwei as he goes to various Chinese locales to exterminate ghosts, which are bouncing bubbles with faces on them. There are 60 levels in the entire game, with the goal in each level being to eradicate all the ghosts.
Releases[]
This game is confirmed to have received two official releases from Senchi Technology, with one being in Chinese and the other presumably being an English release with English packaging. Both releases use hard plastic cases similar to licensed Mega Drive/Genesis releases and excluding text, have identical box art. The back of the English release's box credits Senchi Technology under their full company name, Senchi Technology Industrial Co., Ltd.
A ROM of the Chinese version is available online, although it is unknown if it was dumped from an official cartridge or not. The English release of the game is currently undumped, and it is unknown if it contains any differences from the Chinese version.

Trivia[]
- A rendition of the title screen theme in this game would later be used in Waixing's variant of the 8-bit plug & play game Dringle, originally developed by Nice Code Software. This was presumably done without permission.
