Hot Dance is a rhythm game for the Windows 98 operating system. It is based heavily on DDR 2nd Mix.
Overview[]
The game opens on a splash screen that features the thumbnail for the butterfly music video, it can be clicked to play the video overlaid with lyrics. The game's title screen is white with a fabric-like texture to it, and features options for a solo mode and a battle mode. Then another menu appears with either a song selection mode, or a 'breakthrough' mode. All the menus have text underneath the main logo reading '深圳宝安祥利明'. A drum loop also plays constantly throughout the menus.

Gameplay[]
During gameplay, there is a dancing blue alien in the middle of the screen. The backgrounds for the songs appear to be either random images, or stolen from DDR 2nd Mix, and they are static. The in-game UI is mostly also stolen from DDR 2nd Mix, though the dance metre moves faster, and the arrows have thinner outlines.
Trivia[]
- Most of the song selection screen banners are copied directly from DDR 2nd Mix.
- Some of them are edited while some others seem to be completely original.
