Kong Strikes Back! is a game released by Ocean in 1984 for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC. It is the sequel to Kong, a Donkey Kong knockoff released in 1983. The game is a clone of Mr. Do's Wild Ride, an arcade game released the same year. The graphics of the Commodore 64 version are based on the Donkey Kong series, and the box art across all ports features a Mario lookalike; the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC versions feature generic characters.

Trivia

  • Ocean received the official rights to Donkey Kong shortly after Kong Strikes Back!'s release. This game was still released without Nintendo's (or Universal's) permission, however.
