This page lists handheld LCD game software that is connected to the "POP Station" clone lineage, but does not have a direct known link to Synco Tech Company Limited. For information on the common cloned titles that are affiliated with Synco Tech, see this page. This list does not include "Brick Game" systems.
Index • Synco Tech games • Game & Watch-based games • Other games • Alternate titles
Note that this page does not feature Game & Watch or Mini Classics clone games. For information on such titles, see this article.
2000s releases[]
These releases are often of generic titles or concepts. While connected to the "POP Station" clone lineage, no clear links to Synco Tech are present.
4-in-Line Chess[]
An adaption of Connect Four. This game is only known to appear on uncommon consoles with two-player simultaneous functionality, despite the game itself having a single-player mode. This distinction is shared with Block Game, Hockey, and Tennis.
Anti Terrorism[]
A basic shooting game, seemingly based on the same (or a similar) engine to Space Guardian. The player controls a shotgun held by a hand (somewhat implying a first-person angle), shooting at terrorists who come running downward.
Basketball[]
A generic basketball game, seemingly based on the same (or a similar) engine to Soccer. The player controls a team of two players, pit against another team; the screen scrolls horizontally, with open nets on the left and right ends of the playfield. Some versions of this game feature a VFD-like color display, while others are black-and-white.
Block Game[]
A Tetris clone with two side-by-side playfields, allowing for one or two players. This game is reportedly not based on the common "brick game" coding, and is presumably ported from scratch.
This game is only known to appear on uncommon consoles with two-player simultaneous functionality, despite the game itself having a single-player mode. This distinction is shared with 4-in-Line Chess, Hockey, and Tennis.
Bomb Attack[]
Appears to be a clone of Bomberman; further details are unknown. This game is only known to appear on a "TC-340A" 3-in-1 console, alongside Super Fight and a customized variant of City Fighter (Boxing Champion).[1][2]
Checkers[]
A basic checkers game. It was released part of a "set" with the games Baby Egg Protection, King Fighter, and Loader. The four games were released on multiple 2000s consoles, but were not reissued outside of their specific game set.
Counter Strike[]
A first-person shooter based on the Counter-Strike series. The player controls an army man on the back of an airplane, shooting at masked enemies; the player can switch between using a handgun or a machine gun. This game is only known to appear on a console in the "Computer Model Game" series (ID XY-8058) with a 7" display.[3]
Hockey[]
A generic ice hockey game, seemingly based on the same (or similar) engines to Soccer and Basketball. It appears to have two players on each team, with the playfield scrolling vertically.
This game is only known to appear on uncommon consoles with two-player simultaneous functionality, despite the game itself having a single-player mode. This distinction is shared with 4-in-Line Chess, Block Game, and Tennis.
Nonsuch Fly Racing[]
A generic racing game, different than Motor Cycle (and its many variants). In comparison to that game, Nonsuch Fly Racing uses a simpler, three-lane road layout, making it considerably easier to play.
This game was released as part of a "set" with the games Chanticleer Hegemony, Thunderbolt Airplane, and customized variants of City Fighter and Super Mary. The five games (or game variations) were released on multiple 2000s consoles (the most notable being the PCP Station), but were not reissued outside of their specific game set.
Space Guardian[]
A clone of Bandai's Space Hawk 50, a handheld LCD game released in 1985. It is a shooting game with a psuedo-3D perspective; the player controls a spaceship, and must shoot at enemies while avoiding obstacles.
This game is connected to the "POP Station" clone lineage, though it is somewhat less common in comparison to other titles. It is not to be confused with Sky Shooter, which is commonly referred to as Fortress Guardian in 2000s re-releases.
Super Fight[]
Appears to be a clone of Contra; further details are unknown. This game is only known to appear on a "TC-340A" 3-in-1 console, alongside Bomb Attack and a customized variant of City Fighter (Boxing Champion).[1][2]
The "Computer Model Game" series (ID XY-8058) may feature a variant of this game titled Contra - Snowfield Battle; however, this is unconfirmed.[3]
Super Master[]
A basic shooting game where the player attacks targets falling straight downward. This game is only known to appear on Timetop consoles using "screen cartridges", which feature both "POP Station"-like games and a "brick game" on each screen.
Tennis[]
A generic tennis game. This game is only known to appear on uncommon consoles with two-player simultaneous functionality, despite the game itself having a single-player mode. This distinction is shared with 4-in-Line Chess, Block Game, and Hockey.
Thunderbolt Airplane[]
A shooting game where the player controls a large airplane, shooting upward at another plane. Clouds fly by in the center of the screen that can block the player's path.
This game was released as part of a "set" with the games Chanticleer Hegemony, Nonsuch Fly Racing, and customized variants of City Fighter and Super Mary. The five games (or game variations) were released on multiple 2000s consoles (the most notable being the PCP Station), but were not reissued outside of their specific game set.
2010s releases[]
These releases are often based on popular mobile or PC games of the time. They almost certainly hold no involvement with Synco Tech (who had seemingly long left the gaming industry by the early 2010s), outside of being connected to the "POP Station" clone lineage itself.
Curiously, games of this type based on Boonie Bears and Gangnam Style were planned, but the images available online appear to be of unfinished mock-ups.[4] It is unknown if these games ever left the conceptual stage.
Angry Birds[]
A port of the mobile game of the same name; released alongside a clone of Plants vs. Zombies. Attacking a pig's fortress seems to instantly destroy a "block" containing brick walls and a pig, regardless of the launched angle.
Some variations appear to be branded as Angry Birds Space, though it is unknown if their game code or graphics differ.
Carrot Fantasy[]
Presumed to be a loose adaption of the mobile/online game of the same name; further details are unknown.
This game was released in a "set" of mid-2010s consoles by SY Corp., released under the POP Station name; it is unknown if this series is connected to the original POP Station from the 2000s. Other games in this console series include Subway Surfers and Porter. The Carrot Fantasy console ID is SY-713.[5]
Cut Watermelon[]
Presumed to be a loose adaption of Fruit Ninja; further details are unknown.[6]
Fishing Master[]
Likely based on a series of arcade fishing games in China, more commonly known overseas as Harpoon Lagoon; further details are unknown.[7]
Plants vs. Zombies[]
A port of the original game of the same name; released alongside a clone of Angry Birds. Presumably due to the limited display, only four plants can be selected (Peashooters, Sunflowers, Potato Mines, and Wall-nuts). Despite its limitations, the gameplay is fairly accurate to the original game (moreso than the Angry Birds port).
A Doraemon-themed variant of this game likely exists, based on the gameplay description on a listing of the Super Mario-based Doraemon console (which is clearly describing Plants vs. Zombies); however, this is unconfirmed.[8]
Subway Surfers[]
A loose adaption of the original game of the same name. The player controls a modified sprite of Mario/Luigi from the Mario Bros. Game & Watch, jumping over trains at a sideways angle while collecting coins.
This game was released in a "set" of mid-2010s consoles by SY Corp., released under the POP Station name; it is unknown if this series is connected to the original POP Station from the 2000s. Other games in this console series include Carrot Fantasy and Porter. The Subway Surfers console ID is SY-712.[5]
Temple Run[]
A loose adaption of the mobile game of the same name.[9]
Transformers[]
Appears to be a horizontally-scrolling shooter; further details are unknown.[9]
