Mix Party 2ndRemix is a game developed for UM6578 (enhanced NES-on-a-chip) hardware that is designed to be built into generic plug and play dance mats. It would first start being released sometime in the early 2000s, and is known to have been released on multiple dance mat systems, mainly ones using the names "Mix Party 2" and "Mix Party 3" on the dance pad.

Gameplay[]

The game is a rhythm game heavily based on DanceDanceRevolution 2ndReMIX. The menu features a checkered blue background with the Mix Party 2nd Remix logo in yellow on it, with circular buttons. Notably, instead of using standard audio, the game seems to use audio from an outside source built into the mat.

Songs can be chosen from three difficulties. During gameplay the dance meter moves up and down depending on how well the player is doing. If it drops down to the red area, the game ends abruptly. Currently, only a couple songs are known.

Song List[]

  • 2 Times - Ann Lee
  • Everybody Gonfi Gon - D.J. Pop Mix
  • No Limit (Rio & Le Jean Remix) - 2 Unlimited
  • Butterfly - Kotoh
  • That's The Way I Like It - K.C. And the Sunshine Band

Possibly exclusive to the Mix Party 3 release of the game, is a set of three extra minigames which also require the dance mat to play, similar to the ones seen in ex-Subor affiliated dance mats.

Game List[]

  • Mouse Killer - A simple whack-a-mole game
  • Line Up Chess - A clone of Tic-Tac-Toe.
  • Turtle Mania - A racing game?

Trivia[]

  • Mix Party 2 features Ulala from Space Channel 5 on the box. As well as a notice stating that the system isn't affiliated in anyway with Konami. Which is humorously said as "THIS IN NOT & OFFICIAL KONAMI PRODUCT".
  • The box seen on Lite Star's release of the system shares a nearly identical box with Hot 2000.
