This is a list of games developed by Nice Code Software that are connected to the Nature Clan series. Nature Clan began as a series of games developed for standard Famicom/NES hardware and credited to Power Joy Ltd. that feature the red-sphere, titular character Nature Clan. The Nature Clan character also makes cameos in other Nice Code titles; such as in Magic Jony, where he appears as an enemy. Most of the VT03 versions of the original Nature Clan games remove every reference to the series, possibly suggesting some form of legal issue (it has been theorized that the Nature Clan series was commissioned by DreamGEAR directly, possibly resulting in other manufacturers being unable to use the IP).

Nature Clan: Escapeway[]

Nature Clan - Escapeway (Unl)-0

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. The player controls three Nature Clans stacked on top of each other; they must jump over a series obstacles, such as bombs and conveyor belts. One Nature Clan is wearing sunglasses; the sunglasses one can be rotated in the stack, dictating which Nature Clans will jump (i.e. one to three at a time). If any member of the stack crashes into an obstacle, the player loses a life.

While not directly connected to the Nature Clan series, the game Brother Ball is seemingly a follow-up to this title.

Rushing Brothers (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Replaces the Nature Clans with three ghost-like creatures. The sunglasses Nature Clan is an orange ghost, while the others are colored black.

Experiment[]

A gameplay clone of Bug Catcher, except that it stars Nature Clan, and it takes place in a science lab. It is the only VT03-exclusive, and likely the last, Nature Clan title ever released.

Nature Clan: Forest Adventure[]

Forest Adventure Title

Title screen.

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. Forest Adventure is a generic platformer starring Nature Clan as the playable character. The objective of the game is to go through forest stages and reach the end goal. Nature Clan must hop on logs and tree branches to progress through every stage. There are two types of logs: one elevates Nature Clan to a tree branch, and the other acts as a raft on the water. Nature Clan can even collect diamonds to get points. Different types of diamonds, such as purple ones, appear in the later stages.

Nature Clan has five lives and will lose one if he falls in the water. After he falls into the water, Nature Clan respawns on the nearest tree branch. The player receives a game over if Nature Clan loses all of his lives.

There is a bonus counter at the top-right corner, which decreases similarly to a timer. This counter adds extra points to the player's total score after a stage ends. It is tallied up along with the number of collected diamonds after Nature Clan enters the red door at the end of every stage. The score is useless because it resets to zero afterward, but Nature Clan's number of lives are preserved.

Caper Alone (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Caper Alone

Basic title screen variant of Forest Adventure; the originally-animated title screen is replaced with a static one. The "A" in the title screen logo is modified from the logo of Hummer Team's Aladdin. Gameplay is identical to the original game; some text appears corrupted due to poor hacking.

Jumping Weald (VT03)[]

Jumping Weald title

A VT03 conversion of Forest Adventure; the graphics are completely redrawn in comparison. The player is replaced with a robot who jumps across bolted platforms. Oddly, all music is removed; the sound effects are changed to simpler ones, reminiscent of the sounds used in Nice Code's Intellivision ports. The originally-animated title screen is replaced with a static one.

Adventure Robot (Shenzhen Niutai, VT03)[]

A VT03 conversion of Forest Adventure; the graphics are completely redrawn in comparison. Despite featuring a robot, it is completely unrelated to Jumping Weald.

Little Krishna[]

Little Krishna

Nature Clan is replaced with the Hindu God, Krishna; possibly intended to be based on the Little Krishna cartoon series. Hacked from the Caper Alone variant, as evidenced by unused graphic tiles and the same glitchy text seen in that version.

Nature Clan: Island[]

Island Title

Title screen.

Nature Clan - Island (Unl)-0

Gameplay.

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. Nature Clan is on a small, plus-shaped island. A few eggs fall from the sky and on the island every few seconds, and Nature Clan's objective is to kick them off the island. Within a few seconds, the egg flickers and then becomes an enemy, complete with an evil face and legs.

The enemy eggs walk around the island, and Nature Clan has to avoid them. If an evil egg touches him, he loses a life, and the stage resets. Nature Clan has the ability to kick a normal egg at an enemy egg to make it fall off the island. Nature Clan has three lives, and the player will receive a game over if every life is lost.

Kicking Now (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Kicking Now

Basic title screen variant of Island. The ending screen appears corrupted due to poor hacking.

Nature Clan: Mirror Devil World[]

Nature Clan - Mirror Devil World (Unl)-0-0

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. Mirror Devil World is a gameplay clone of Kickle Cubicle for the NES/Famicom. The player starts in a center base, and must create and kick blocks to form paths across the playfield. The devil appears inside of a set of mirrors, attacking Nature Clan; the player must hit switches below all mirrors to crack them, preventing the devil from appearing in them. The game's map screen directly mimics Kickle Cubicle.

Cursed Pond (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Cursed Pond

An extensive graphic hack where the player controls a rabbit, making paths out of lilypads in a pond. The devil is changed to an octopus who appears in sectioned-off crevices. The pond's water has a reflection effect, likely repurposed from the original game's mirror reflections.

Nature Clan: Pindable Crystal Ball[]

Pindable Crystal Ball Title

Title screen.

Nature Clan - Pindable Crystal Ball (Unl)-0

Gameplay.

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. The player controls Nature Clan in an open playfield, and must collect all of the green crystal balls while avoiding enemies. When all crystal balls have been collected, a target icon appears that leads Nature Clan to the next level. The stage layouts feature rotating gates, which can be used to trap enemies (and potentially the player) into closed-off areas. The blue spiked obstacles ricochet off of walls in a clockwise, square rotation; other obstacles directly target Nature Clan. A purple Pac-Man appears as an enemy on level 2.

Adventurer (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Adventurer

Title screen.

Adventurer gameplay

Gameplay.

Nature Clan is changed to a different ball character who wears a wind-up mechanism as a hairbow. All further graphics are also altered, including changing the green balls to hearts and the blue spiked obstacles to bats. The game starts on what is actually level 4 in the original version. The title screen uses the stars from Sky Dreamer.

Worm Dream (VT03)[]

A VT03 conversion of Pindable Crystal Ball; the graphics are completely redrawn in comparison. Nature Clan is replaced with an inchworm who moves through a grassy field.

Nature Clan: Spring World[]

Spring World Title

Title screen.

Nature Clan - Spring World (version 2) (Unl)-0

Gameplay.

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. The gameplay is similar to Pindable Crystal Ball: Nature Clan has to navigate a maze and pick up items and avoid obstacles. All enemies are placed between two springs; bouncing back and forth in a straight direction, vertically or horizontally. Later stages add diagonal springs and other increasingly-advanced layouts.

For unknown reasons, there are two versions with different background music. A seemingly-earlier revision reuses the music from Nice Code's Blocks World; an alternate revision uses a fully-custom theme.

Cool Baby (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Cool Baby title

Replaces Nature Clan with a child in a cape, among other graphical changes. The coil springs are redesigned to resemble springboards. Based on the later Spring World revision with its original music track.

Cool Baby originally featured a two-player mode, but it is zeroed out on some one-player only plug & plays. While this is common for Nice Code titles in general, it is one of only eight Qi Sheng Long VT02 variants to have this distinction.

Swing (VT03)[]

A VT03 conversion; uses similar theming to the original Spring World, but most graphics are fully redrawn in comparison. Nature Clan is replaced with a similar blue character wearing a Christmas hat. Based on the earlier Spring World revision that uses the Block World music.

Spring World (Shenzhen Niutai, VT03)[]

A VT03 conversion; uses completely different graphics than Swing, though oddly, uses the same blue character as that version (with his sprites redrawn).

Sky Dreamer[]

Sky Dreamer Title Screen

Title screen.

Nature Clan - Sky Dreamer (Unl)-0

Gameplay.

Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. Sky Dreamer is a platformer taking place in the skies. Nature Clan's goal is to reach the end of the stage. He can also find fairies to collect apples, which in turn can be taken to statues that either grant health or a shooting power up. The game uses a rendition of the Pitfall II theme in gameplay. Curiously, the game's engine itself seems somewhat reminiscent of Pitfall II, potentially suggesting a scrapped licensed port; though no true elements of the original game remain intact.

Despite using Nature Clan in-game, this game does not use the Nature Clan title heading.

Sky Dreamer (VT03)[]

Sky Dreamer VT03 Title

A VT03 conversion of Sky Dreamer; the graphics are completely redrawn in comparison. Nature Clan in particular is replaced with a somewhat similar, but largely different character featuring a green nose.

Sky Zone (Qi Sheng Long)[]

Sky Zone Title

Basic title screen variant of Sky Dreamer; the originally-animated title screen is replaced with a static one. The option for two player mode is also removed.
