Gameplay

PC-Man was an unlicensed clone of Namco’s popular PAC-MAN, released for IBM compatibles in 1982 and developed by Greg Kuperberg. It shares many similarities, but also has several features to make it distinct. For starters, most of the graphics are ripped directly from PAC-MAN, most notably the sprites and maze, while things like the foods that appear in the center of the maze or the names of the ghosts have been changed. The most jarring difference, however, is the fact that the maze has been flipped sideways, likely to accommodate for the orientation of the PC’s monitor.
