PS-Kid Console

PS-Kid Box

Southern European release.

The PS-Kid is a Famiclone that resembles the PlayStation and is part of the PolyStation line of bootleg game consoles. Its controller consists of a D-Pad, 3 blue buttons, 3 yellow buttons, and 2 yellow select and start buttons. Included in the packaging is a light gun called the Panther. The console also features a Famicom cartridge slot and a 100000000-in-1 multicart. The cartridge repeats games from previous pages/selection screens frequently. It's unknown when this console was produced. The games featured on the console are standard NES/Famicom games, original unlicensed games, poorly made ports of other games, and ROM hacks. The console's box claims to be a "Cool, Friendly console for smart children" among other false claims about the console's capabilities. The console seems to have been also distributed mainly in Southern Europe as evident by the Greek, Bulgarian, and Romanian text on some of the packaging. These versions of the console come with a 16-in-1 multicart. This hints that Cheertech was behind this particular Famiclone, as their consoles, such as the PX-3600, were also released in Southern Europe with the same multilingual packaging.
