Planet Contra is a Russian hack of Mega Turrican for the Sega Mega Drive. It's based on the 2012 mobile game of the same name.

Overview

The hack adds a new title screen and story text that says: "The world was destroyed, but the planet still has hope in a robot. Collect the remains of green vegetation to give the planet a second chance." Changed the sprite of the main character, power-ups, and some enemies to match the game the hack is based on. The hack also skips all story cutscenes and post-level cutscenes.

• The design of this hack is very similar to Despicable Me 2 and late TOF hacks: first the title screen, then the text with the story on a black background, and then the game launches.
