The Pocket Dream Console (PDC) is a Sunplus-based handheld game console developed and manufactured by Conny between 2004 and 2012. Contrary to popular belief, the system was distributed by several companies and multiple territories including the United States. Takara Tomy released the system in Japan, VideoJet in France, and Anncia in the United States. The system was also rebranded as the Pocket Star LCD by Mobile Games Technology.
Overview[]
The system itself loosely resembles a cross between the Game Boy Advance and the Game Boy Micro. It comes in either blue, red, purple, orange, or pink. It has "a" and "b" buttons, start, and shoulder buttons. It comes with an A/V port and a 2.5mm headphone jack. The system runs on 3 AAA batteries and uses a 320x240 resolution screen.
Games[]
Models of the system feature either 30, 40, 50, 100, or 200 games built into the system. Some of these titles were also released on a series of plug and plays released by Conny. In France only, two Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed systems were released. These systems do not contain any software seen on other PDC systems.

Trivia[]
- Likely out of fear of a lawsuit, Conny later licensed Joe Ma by Mitchell Corporation, the creators of Puzz Loop. Mitchell was attempting to sue companies who made clones of Puzz Loop at around the same time.
- Ironically, the screenshot for Joe Ma on Conny's website looks to be a direct port of Zuma.
