Kou Dai Yao Guai - Bai Jin Ban (口袋妖怪 -白金版 or Pokemon: Platinum Edition), also known as Pokémon Platinum, is a Pokémon-based platformer for the Game Boy Color published by Sintax.
Pokemon Platinum is a fairly standard platformer. You can choose to play as Psyduck, Pichu, Abra, and Flareon (though they don't seem to differ much in abilities.) While some of the stages seem fairly open, the player merely needs to reach the exit point in the stage. Scattered about the stages are the typical power-ups such as health items and such.
The game has a total of four levels and a boss stage in which the player fights an Electabuzz.
This game has been hacked several times with mostly just different stage graphics. Such hacks include:
- The Incredibles
- Super Sonik II (which features Parasol Stars music instead of Lemmings music.)
- There is a MP bar in the game, but it's unknown how it works or if it even does anything at all.
- The Pokémon sprites are pulled from FireRed and LeafGreen for Game Boy Advance, and Gold, Silver and Crystal for Game Boy Color.
