Puzzle Club is an arcade compilation title developed and released by Yun Sung in 2000.
Overview[]
The arcade machine consists in a compilation of 6 puzzle games, all of them ripping off some content from an existent game:
- Magic Eye (Find the Errors)
- Box Logic (Picross clone)
- Mad Ball (Breakout clone with naked woman in background)
- Magic Bubble (Puzzle Bobble / Bust-A-Move clone with naked woman in background)
- Bogle Puyo (Puyo Puyo clone)
- Rocktris (Tetris clone with naked woman in background)
Mad Ball, Magic Bubble and Rocktris are known to be released as stand-alone arcade machines and Box Logic with Rocktris also is featured in Multi 5, another game compilation made by Yun Sung.
Trivia[]
Bogle Puyo[]
- The game rip-off some sprites from Puyo Puyo, an MSX2 game released in 1991 by Compile (although is based on the Arcade version, which was released in 1992 by Sega);
- At least one voice sample from Puyo Puyo was used, being Arle Nadja's Faiya! (an approximation of Fire! in Japanese). This voice sample was used when game successfully booted, used in 1999 to 2000.
- The company, Yun sung stole a lots of resources (or made a knockoff) from Compile between 1997 to 2000 as well from Ubisoft.
Box Logic[]
- The game is a clone of Picross, although is not based in a Picross video game, such as Mario's Picross and other Picross games developed by Jupiter. Each time you clear the puzzle, you're rewarded a naked women picture.
Mad Ball[]
- The game is a clone of Atari's Breakout, although it features power-ups, being more closer to be an rip-off of Taito's Arkanoid.
- This game is an adaption of original Mad ball franchise also made by same company in 1998.
Magic Bubble[]
- The game is an almost a unauthorized modification of Taito's Puzzle Bobble 4 (otherwise known as Bust-A-Move Millennium in USA), since almost of the features of the original game was thrown in;
- Some backgrounds that appear in the game was taken from Interplay's EarthWorm Jim 2 and Ubisoft's Rayman;
- The programmers stole the sound effects and voices of the original game.
Rock Tris[]
- The game is not the same of the stand-alone version of Rocktris in terms of gameplay (see below);
- The Tetris pieces graphics was taken from Atari Tetris;
- The original Rocktris is a clone of X Rock, a Taiwanese game made by Soft World in 1990 for MS-DOS;
- An update for the stand-alone version was released in 1995 under the name Magix (also known as Rock, name changeable with Dip Switches). It was released by Yun Sung/Soft Vision(co-op) too.

- Yun Sung also released another game compilation called Multi 5 (also known as New Multi Game 5), which featured Box Logic and Rocktris, released three years earlier (1997)
