Sup Game Box

The Sup Game Box is a handheld famiclone resembling the Game Boy, it's sold by many sellers online as a "Gameboy", although it's not a Gameboy officially released by Nintendo. The "Sup" branding is derived from the logo for the Supreme clothing brand. Similar consoles are sold with or without the branding for different markets.

There are many different variants available from different manufacturers, with varying music and language options on the language selection screen, screen size, and included games. However, the most common type is based on a cloned Retro FC design and contains a built in "400 in 1" game set with 313 unique games and 87 duplicate games, within the major part of the games being hacks or Nice Code games. In Spain, these consoles released in 2023, and contain 500 games.

Almost all versions of the console come with composite A/V cables allowing it to connect to a television, and a USB cable to charge the included battery, which is usually a Nokia-clone BL-5C battery. (It takes about two hours to fully charge the battery, with 4 hours of play time according to manufacturers, it can also expand to 6 hours if it has moderated gameplay.)

There is the option to buy, or sometimes comes already included in the box, a second player controller (either red or black) to connect to the Micro USB or Mini USB port used for charging. However, they simply route the Famicom controller signals over the USB pins, rather than using the actual USB protocol, so the controllers are not compatible with other devices, and nor are standard USB controllers compatible with the consoles.

Issues

The Sup Game Box has a number of issues, including complaints about its screen turning white for no reason. Most likely, the LCD screen may leak, therefore, causing this error - This error mostly occurred when the battery was almost fully drained.

The audio is still hearable, however, in case of a drained battery, the audio glitches sometimes.

The audio may also glitch stemming from another issue if you press the buttons too hard. The only way to fix the console without disassembling is playing on a TV with a AV cable/or restarting the console.
