Shen Qi De Mao Zi is a backport of The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap for the NES published and developed by Shenzhen Nanjing. The biggest change is to the gameplay, where instead of being a standard Action-

Adventure game that Zelda is, it's instead a turn based RPG.

Gameplay

The game follows the story of the Minish Cap, albeit the text is in Chinese. The gameplay revolves around puzzles, and is a turn based RPG. The biggest problem is that the enemies level up with you, so they always end up being stronger than you. Therefore, the game is practically unbeatable.

The game starts with peaceful music, and Link and Zelda talk for a while, before extremely intense music plays, although nothing wrong is happening, much like Feng Yin Dao Zelda, a backport of Links Awakening. After this Link must follow Zelda around. Once the game start s, the player will notice that it is a turn based RPG instead of the normal Zelda action RPG with enemies that scale to your level.

Trivia

  • The game's overworld theme is the trainer battle music from Lei Dian Huang Bi Ka Qiu Chuan Sho, also by Shenzhen Nanjing.
  • There exists a title hack of the game that changes it to say The Phantom Hourglass. Besides the title screen it's the exact same game.
