- This article is about Super Bros. 8. For games with a similar title, see Super Bros. (disambiguation).
Super Bros. 8 is a hack of Don Doko Don 2, released sometime in the early 1990's (likely in March 1992, as implied by its manufacture code). It was likely developed by J.Y. Company, as its PCB has two PROMs suggesting this: one reads JY-A1 and another JY211.
Overview[]
Super Bros. 8 has the obvious title screen change, and the two characters are replaced with Mario and Luigi. The graphics were recycled from Super Mario Bros. 3. The game is erroneously referred to as "Super Mario Part 6" in the ending. In some releases, Mario and Luigi start with 9 lives instead of 3.
