Tengen is back! Well, sorta. Some guy named Jeff Silvers realized that nobody currently owns the Tengen name or branding at the moment, and has decided to acquire it by himself—he applied for the Tengen trademark, which has been approved by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as of 2024, and he now uses the Tengen name and branding for an all-new independent developer and publisher of original aftermarket titles for retro consoles, known as Tengen Games. (The actual games developed and published by the original pre-2024 Tengen, aka post-1984 Atari Games, likely belong to Warner Bros. Games.) The new Tengen's already got an original game available: Zed and Zee!
