Tauro Video, also known as Tauro Video Argentina, was an Argentinian VHS distributor that eventually started selling pirated Famicom cartridges in the early 1990s under the Katon brand (stylized as KATON)[1].

Overview[edit | edit source]

Unlike other distributors, Tauro Video chose to use a generic cover reading Original KATON for all their cartridges. A sticker indicating the game name was added most of the time. Each, if not all the cartridges, came with a small plastic box. Some of these boxes used official artwork, while others used completely original drawings.
