This game uses the King of Fighters R-2 engine. and uses the The King of Fighters 96 (Heat of Battle) sound engine. although being the KOF game the gameplay is more based on Art of Fighting/DragonBall Final Bout style. meaning the player has to charge your meter (pressing both A and B) in order to execute special moves.
While there is an alternate characters there, there is no difference to the moves than the original aside from color changes and the portraits being slightly more angrier.
Despite having a variety of characters. the ending is the same for each ones. (Alt or not)
Trivia[]
